DISTANCES OFFERED
Participants may choose to run or walk this TIMED 5K course. The 1 MILE FUN RUN is UNTIMED. See course description below. This course is stroller friendly.
START TIMES
2:00 p.m. – 1 Mile Fun Run Starts
2:15 p.m. – 5K Starts
Please plan to be at the start line 10 minutes prior to the start of the race wearing your race number on the front of your shirt. Walkers and strollers are asked to line up in the back.
ABOUT THE RACE
Help ALL our 5th Graders get to Washington DC!
This is a chance to stay fit and support your community. Register and spend a Sunday afternoon running through the beautiful, historic Forest Hills neighborhood. Feel good about yourself for staying healthy during the holiday season and helping the 5th Grade Students get to Washington DC!
ABOUT THE CAUSE
This race is the annual fundraiser for the 5th Grade trip to Washington DC! All race registration funds will help to defray the cost of children who volunteer at the 5K. All sponsorship funds will support the scholarship fund for children who need financial assistance to go on this wonderful learning adventure.

Run through the beautiful neighborhood of Forest Hills. Enjoy the beautiful trees, historic architecture and enthusiastic people that make this neighborhood so unique.
The Fun Run will take place on school grounds.
PARTICIPANT PERKS
RACE SHIRTS:
Participants who register by November 12, 2015 will be guaranteed a race shirt. The shirts are made of Cotton and are available in Youth Unisex sizes S-L and Adult Unisex sizes S-XL.
AWARDS
- All elementary school students who participate in the 5K will receive a finisher ribbon.
- Top 2 Overall Male and Female 5K finishers – Medal + gift
- Top Overall Male and Female Masters 5K finishers – Medal + gift
- Top 2 Overall Male and Female 5K finishers in grades K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 – Medal
- Top 2 Overall Male and Female 5K finishers in age groups: 12 – 14, 15 – 19, 20 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, 70 + Medal

PARKING
Paring is available at Forest Hills Elementary School.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
All runners are encouraged to run wearing a winter holiday themed costume! Wilmington Yoga Center will lead a free yoga session before the race starting at 1:30 p.m. The Market Street Port City Java will provide free hot chocolate and coffee after the race.

FAQ & GUIDELINES
Waiver: The Registration Agreement & Liability Waiver is linked to the Online Registration. This must be selected and approved during registration.
Packet Pick-Up: Family or Friends may pick-up your Race Packet at Packet Pick-Up.
On-Site Registration: Registration is available starting one hour prior to race start. It closes 20 minutes prior to start.
Timing: Jaguar Bib Chip Timing will be used to time this race
Weather: This race is rain or shine. It will be postponed, rescheduled or cancelled if a severe weather warning is in effect.
Refunds:
Refunds requested by participant are as follows (minus credit card processing fee):
More than 60 days from event: Full Refund
Less than 60 days, but more than 30 days from event: 50% Refund
Less than 30 days, but more than two weeks from event: 25% Refund
Less than two weeks from event: No Refund
Entries are not transferable to other races Timed by Go Time as each race is organized by a different group. We must stick to this policy as race items have been purchased based on current registrations and it is not fair to choose who receives a refund and who does not.
