2018 Ainsley's Angels Results

Ainsley’s Angels in SENC is celebrating our two year anniversary in 2018 with the Frosty 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. Join us for this wonderful event and experience the joy demonstrated by each of our Angel Riders as they participate in events that most of us take for granted! Funds raised by the SENC ambassadorship are used to purchase and maintain equipment, including race chairs and supplies, and the trailer in which we use to transport chairs to various races in the area.

Our goal is to increase the number of chairs available to our ambassadorship so that more and more Athlete Riders can “roll with the wind!” You can help us to continue to spread the message of inclusion by registering for these “AAmazing” events, and even more by making an additional donation. Come out and experience the joy of inclusion with Ainsley’s Angels!

There will also be a silent auction at the race, so come prepared to bid on some awesome items for a great cause!

About the Cause

Ainsley’s Angels of America, Inc., is a nonprofit corporation with local ambassadors across the United States. The mission of Ainsley’s Angels, in addition to ensuring everyone can experience endurance events, is to build awareness about America’s special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life. We believe everyone deserves to be included, and strive to serve as advocates to providing education and participating as active members in local communities.

The Southeast North Carolina (SENC) ambassadorship has been serving our community for nearly two years. There are limited opportunities for our special needs population to experience inclusion in everyday, typical activities, especially athletics. They are generally left on the sidelines to watch and cheer on their peers, and rarely get to participate. Our program promotes inclusion of the special needs population in all areas, but particularly in the area of endurance athletic events. Our Angel Riders get to feel the wind in their face, experience the thrill of the race, and for once get to be on the receiving end of the cheers.

Shirts are available for purchase for $20 until 11:59 PM on Monday, November 19, 2020. The shirts are available in Youth S-M and Adult Unisex S-XL sizes. They are a long sleeve t-shirt from Without Limits. Be sure to claim your shirt today by registering!

MEDALS: All 5K Finishers will receive a Medal!

The course will start and end at The Pointe at Barclay and is an all-flat course, mainly on sidewalks and paved roads.

This race course is wheelchair & stroller friendly! However, dogs are not allowed on this course so please leave them at home or with a non-running spectator.

Packet Pickup

There is is NO pre-race day Packet Pickup for this race. All bibs & swag items must be picked up on race morning during registration.

Please allow enough extra time to pickup your packet before the race starts. Races will start promptly at their designated start times.

FAQ & GUIDELINES

Waiver: The Registration Agreement & Liability Waiver is linked to the Online Registration. This must be selected and approved during registration.

Packet Pick-Up: Family or Friends may pick-up your Race Packet at Packet Pick-Up.

On-Site Registration: Registration is available starting one hour prior to race start. It closes 20 minutes prior to start.

Timing: Jaguar Bib Chip Timing will be used to time this race

Weather: This race is rain or shine. It will be postponed, rescheduled or cancelled if a severe weather warning is in effect.

Refunds: There are no refunds, registration will be accepted as a donation.

Entries are not transferable to other races Timed by Go Time as each race is organized by a different group.
We must stick to this policy as race items have been purchased based on current registrations and it is not fair to choose who receives a refund and who does not.
