It’s the Official Dog Party of Wilmington! Come join paws4people and the North Carolina Azalea Festival for the 2nd Annual Paws on Parade. The event features a 5K and 1 Mile run/walk at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater hosted by paws4people. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome to participate with their owners!
After the race, be sure and stick around for the Paws on Parade event: The Official Dog Party of the Azalea Festival. Activities include a Puppy Kissing Booth, dog-friendly vendors, dog portraits, concessions, and Canine Court Pageant!
About the Cause
The paws4people foundation is a Wilmington based non-profit that trains and places Assistance Dogs with children, civilians & veterans at no cost to them. Funds raised from the event will help paws4people continue transforming lives.
paws4people has 500 highly trained Assistance Dogs with one or more certifications providing support in areas such as mobility and psychiatric service, educational and rehabilitative assistance, and therapeutic visitation. Together, these dogs have made more than 1,000,000 therapeutic contacts.

Race Swag
Shirts will be guaranteed to participants who register by 11:59 PM on Friday, February 14, 2020 . The shirts are available in Adult Unisex S-XXL cut sizes, and are made of Cotton. Dog participants will also receive a bandana and waste baggies!

The paws4people 5K course is a fast and flat tour of one of the most scenic segments of Wilmington. Race course is located in Greenfield Lake Park that is located only a few miles from Historic Downtown Wilmington, NC. There are water stops for both people and pets on course. Your four-legged friends are going to love this event!
This race course is also stroller, wheelchair and dog friendly!

FAQ & GUIDELINES
Waiver: The Registration Agreement & Liability Waiver is linked to the Online Registration. This must be selected and approved during registration.
Packet Pick-Up: Family or Friends may pick-up your Race Packet at Packet Pick-Up.
On-Site Registration: Registration is available starting one hour prior to race start. It closes 20 minutes prior to start.
Timing: Jaguar Bib Chip Timing will be used to time this race
Weather: This race is rain or shine. It will be postponed, rescheduled or cancelled if a severe weather warning is in effect.
Refunds: There are no refunds, registration will be accepted as a donation.
Entries are not transferable to other races Timed by Go Time as each race is organized by a different group.
We must stick to this policy as race items have been purchased based on current registrations and it is not fair to choose who receives a refund and who does not.
